56 year old mother of 2, grandmother to 5 boys ranging from 9 months to 19 years old.

Still working but noticing more and more that everyone else at work is much younger. Where are all the people my age?

How did you get to where you are now?

as a single parent of 30 I returned to school and obtained my accounting diploma. I could not see myself raising my children on tips from waitressing. Worked for many years self employed and went through too many divorces.

Finally...in the last 3 yrs have purchased my own home, have a good paying job and bought my first brand new vehicle..

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

10 years ago I thought that my life was going to always be the same..hard working little wife that tried to please everyone but herself.

 

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Hopefully retired, able to travel and enjoy some new hobbies.

Stop supporting other people...take some time for yourself and run away as soon as you can. Quit smiling when you feel like yelling and start yelling loud and clear.

One day you will feel like smiling and it will come natural and will feel real
