Heather Cariou

I'm the author of Sixtyfive Roses:  A Sister's Memoir.  I'm a native Canadian who has lived in NYC/NJ for 30 years.  I spent more than 20 years as a professional actor before turning to writing.  I have cooked Thanksgiving dinner for the entire cast of a Broadway musical in a hotel room while on the road in Baltimore, and can prescribe the right self-help book to anyone I've known for more than five minutes.  My friends advise not to ask for my opinion unless you want it, as I will give it to you.  Most times, in fact, you don't have to ask. I am married to the love of my life. For more information, please visit my website.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

I took my mother's advice, put my head down, and kept putting one foot in front of the other.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

I'm fifteen pounds heavier and have a better sense of humor.  I grow more "damn the torpedos" with every day.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I believe in living in the present moment.
