I live just outside Austin, TX, and am a 52 year old engineer. I have two daughters. I divorces my husband after 22 years of marriage and my life is now truly blessed. I have a very meaningful job and a very loving relationship with my new mate. I love to flyfish, weld and work on anything that requires power tools!

How did you get to where you are now?

I divorced my husband of 22 years and discovered that I'm not such a bad person after all. For 22 years, I endured his daily dissatisfaction with everything I did, while he was always trying to decide what he wanted to do with his life.

Since I no longer am constantly baraged by retoric that I don't make enough money, don't spend enough time at home, don't mow the yard right, etc., my life and career have taken many new and positive turns.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

I now see myself as a dynamic, talented person who can accomplish anything she chooses.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I hope to retire from my engineering job in the next 5 years so that I can focus on my flyfishing business. My mate and I plan to open a flyfishing school in the Texas Hill Country.
