I am a 63 year old step granny, who happens to be a writer.  I will be 64 on New Years Day - a fact that just stuns me.  I don't feell thatold!  I joined Vibrant Nation because it seems to be peopled by young thinking women who know their ability and worth.  In a past life, I was a lawyer.  It is a very soul -eating career.  I needed to write to let it all out!  I married late in life and gained a step daughter and step son.  Both of them now have children (thus the step-granny).  We don't see them very often (we live in the country and they are city bound).  I have to deal with my husband's feelings that he is left out of their lives.  I wish I could bring them into our lives more often, but being a "step" doesn't give you any power.  Some day I will write about him and his children.  It will be hard for both of us.  I need the positive contact the women of VB give me.  Thanks for being there.
