I have been a daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. You cannot go through all of those stages without some ups and downs. Despite some hurdles we celebrated our 46th wedding anniversary May 9th. My husband jokes that we lasted that long because we couldn't afford a lawyer for a divorce.

Despite the fact that I am 60+ I started a new career 4 years ago which is something I never thought would happen at my age. I pictured myself blissfully retired spending my winters in a sunny climate. Life sometimes gets in the way and we end up on a different path. Although I am in a different place than I thought I would be I consider myself very blessed and very grateful for what I do have. There was a time in my life where I focused on what I didn't have and that's a real downer.

My new career has renewed my hope, and winters in a sunny climate is a matter of time. I met a gentleman who never earned alot of money in his life. He was a butcher. He started a new career at the age of 72 bought his dream home at the age of 76 is a very young  81 today and a millionaire. When I start having doubts I think of him. He has inspired 1000's of people. I am one of them.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

By reinventing myself. What does that mean?It means turning negative thoughts into positive ones. Focusing on what I have rather than what I don't have.Truly looking at the glass half full rather than half empty.Surrounding myself with like minded people, reading books, attending seminars etc  help   keep me on track.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

I look at life's problems as challenges..I will also take on projects that 10 years ago I would not have taken on because I would have allowed fear to stand in my way. I am definitely more contented and less anxious despite the fact that there are still challenges to be met .... and meeting them can be rewarding

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Doing the same things as I am now.I I get great pleasure being a wife, mother, grandmother, friend and entrepreneur. I am enjoying my life as is,but definitely want to do more travelling.

my role models

I have been inspired by many people who have  have crossed my path and touched my life and this is an on going thing. From a baby who fights hard for his life and makes it. A downs syndrome teenager who has a great deal of trouble bowling keeps at it and ends up getting strike after strike. I could fill pages and pages of of people who have been inspirational and made a difference in my life. If we look closely enough they are all around us.
