I am a writer and an artist. I paint mostly animals...pet portraits. I live in the Annapolis Valley of Nova Scotia. At present I am trying to decide what is next for me. Looking for a new passion, something that will get the blood flowing. Of course my passion now is writing (painting has been set on the back burner), but I need to find a direction for my writing. How much time should I spend on it? What other endeavours should I be contemplating? I now have fifteen short stories and novels published and am working on two at the moment. My immediate attention is on book two of my Dream Series. 1964: Chasing A Dream is book one and published. There are three more to come, all about my character coming of age and growing into herself from the 60s onward. A true boomers type series. Available at Amazon.com, Smashwords.com, Barnes and Noble and other e book distributors. To add to the above and update: I now have 19 books and short stories and will soon be working on book three of the dream series, Missing Link. And I have a new passion (actually an old passion revived) I bought a new guitar and have been going jamming once a week. I practice every night and have very sore finger tips but love it.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

Ahhh riding the waves? Seriously, I have no idea. I have always been lay back and come day go day. Sure I've planned for some things but mostly it's been trial and error. Sometimes I wonder how I ended up where I am now.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Hmmm, good question. I believe I am more aware. I had just been divorced ten years ago and I was sewing my later-in-life oats. I made a lot of bad choices. I won't say I know who I am yet, but I will say that I can't believe who I was then. The old saying, If I knew then what I know now.

Since I will be 70 this year, I don't look ahead ten years. I live each day and continue to work on my dreams and desires that have always been with me. Some I have accomplished, others are still waiting in the wings. I just hope I can either fulfill them or accept that I never will. Update: I am now 70. I look forward to the next decade with verve and vigor. I have so much I want to do and now I have grandson that is a very important part of my life. He is two and takes me back to younger days. Kids will do that.
Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I would like t see myself still healthy and energetic, and wiser than I am now. I would like to see myself not alone, but with a compatible mate who I could feel comfortable around. This is where I'd like to see myself, but in reality, I would probably be very happy to still have a roof over my head and still be independent and healthy.

Update: I don't see myself ever in another relationship with a man. I have given up on that one. I do believe that I was meant to live alone. I am okay with that, I wasn't once but I've learn to accept it.

I will only ask you one question. Why did you wait so long to use your talents?

my role models

My role mode is my sister who has survived cancer and is absolutely amazing. I strive to have her postive attitude.

Why do we even try?

When do we give up? When do we just let them live like anyone else that we don't know? This is freedom time in our lives. Time to do what we want, when we want, where we want and not be feeling guilty because our kids are in a bad place.read more »

AMAZON KDP SELECT, To Be or Not To Be

How do you deal with bad book reviews?

Now I can take criticism. You have to if you want to be a writer. But it was the way it was done. Can some of the writers here share what you've experience from reviewers writing spoilers?read more »
