I have been a freelance market analyst for about 11 years. I work at home and love it. For the last 2 years I have also been a fulltime nanny for my grand baby so life is good.

I have been married for 20 years, second time 'round and have two children. My husband has 3 so there is 5 between the two of us. Many many grandkids but only one biological, who is the love of my life.

I love the "Biggest Loser." I love the challenges they make the contestants endure. I love the interaction between the contestants and how the format of the show pits one against the other. I love the workouts (I have picked up many ideas for my own workouts). I love to see the transformations. But most of all I love how it motivates me.

After I watch the show I have no trouble getting my butt off the sofa and off to the gym so when I saw four of the finalists run a marathon I thought I should be able to do that as well. The women start the show well over 200lbs and some over 300. One lady was over 400lbs last season, the heaviest contestant in the history of the show. The men are all over 300lbs and none of them have ever seen the inside of a gym. At the end of the show there are four people left and they are all required to run a marathon. These people go from obese, couch potatoes to running a marathon. How can that not motivate you?

So I have decided to run a marathon before my 62nd birthday and here is my blog

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

Heh what can I say but I think I am pretty cool!

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

10 years older and 10 years wiser. Really!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

Another 10 years older and hopefully 10 years wiser. Probably still pretty cool.

You know kiddo, things weren't all that bad heh? Parents may not have been perfect but they gave you the best gift of all, great genes for wonderful health. You also have a sister who is a best friend and a brother who is very successful. Life is pretty good based on what you did. Good job!!

It was a good run but I have the stomach flu now

Because I’m tapering I only had 8 miles to run Saturday but needed to treat this mileage with as much respect as I do longer runs. This meant I needed to carb…
