My Blog Circle:

Age really doesn't play a part with me.  I am who I am -- that has never changed!  I'm a former high school English teacher, but now I am back in the business world. I have a passion for traveling and a newfound passion for writing.

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

I have been thrown some curveballs, but then who hasn't had some curveballs thrown at them by this age?  I was widowed at 44.  This was a major life-changing event for me.  I felt so old -- old beyond my years.  I've come to incorporate my husband's death into who I am today.  I've learned that life is very transient and that you can't wait forever to take a leap of faith at times.  I don't like the word "closure" when it comes to talking about death.  We never "close" those individuals who have died.  Knowing them is an important part of who we are as women.

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

I never knew I was such a resilient person.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

I see myself traveling to far off exotic places -- either by myself or with someone who is very special to me.

Hi, Marian,

Hang on!  The road takes some twists and turns, but in the end, the view is worth it!

my role models

My role models -- my mother, hands down.  She has taught me to live with grace.  My sister -- another woman who has always had my back.  I would also have to say Nancy Drew.  After reading all of her books, I have learned that being a good sleuth is never a bad thing to be!
