I am 51 (AHH, can't believe it when I say it), have been married for 30+ years, have two grown sons - the oldest at 30 just got married in September and my youngest at 28, has a 9 year old son, who is the apple of Nana's eye:):)  I enjoy life and have a very close network of girlfriends - what would life be without them, right?  My family loves to camp and we have sooo much fun doing it - the songs around the campfire, the long walks and talks and just being in nature.  You gotta love it!

my VN interview

How did you get to where you are now?

Hard work, having an awesome husband and family, and loving life! I also think that having a positive attitude, even when you think life sucks, has been an asset for me.  I tend to see the good side of everything, even those people that some don't see eye to eye with, you have to just accept them for who and what they are.  After all, think about how people see me and that is the question I keep in my mind, that I would want them to treat me just like I treat them:)

How do you see yourself differently now than you did 10 years ago?

Well, I sure didn't see myself with a grandson and working at the same job (which I have been at for 17 years now).  We had hoped to leave our jobs and move to a simpler place where life is not so busy.  It hasn't happened yet, but I know we will get there.  There have been opportunities, but life gets in the way, things happen for a reason and God knows they are meant to be.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?

If I am lucky enough to have good health, certainly traveling more will be in the cards!  I see my grandson graduating from High School (actually about 9 more years), watching him grow to be a wonderful young man and seeing my boys in the best life that there is, happy and without too much turmoil.  I will be contemplating retirement then becuase my husband, John, will already be there.  Much to think about!

my role models

I have to say that my Mom has been my biggest role model.  Oh, we went through a lot when I was in my teen years, but she is the person that I would most want to be like. She has made me a better person by always being there for me, accepting the choices I have made without ever patronizing me and just being a good person.  For people that have known me all my life, they say that I remind them so much of my Mom in her younger days and I think that is the biggest compliment because my Mom was HOT!!
