Hi.. Buckhorn is a beautiful area.. I know of a Mary Kay Director there if you need some great products for your bod or face!!!!
Sorry for not responding sooner.. just saw your response.. I live in the Lake st.area near QEW..
A huge thank you to all you responded.
May we have met some forever friends.
A Merry Chirstmas to all, and much health and happiness in the coming year.
I just noticed your post. I am in Mission, B.C. about an hour drive from you. What a small world!
Hi Andie, I will surely go to visit the shop you mentioned! It sounds like the kind of place I would love to open ( in my dreams!) I am doing research into what kind of drill bit is good for drilling holes in the beach glass- for making jewelry and wind chimes. I love the pieces that have raised letters on them.I’ll make a point to bring my faves to have them dated by Audrey. Thanks for the tips! Keep those creative juices flowing! Marie
I currently live in Bowmanville but attended Trent University in Peterborough about 10 years ago. I loved the area and often go back to enjoy the scenery along the river. I teach in Bowmanville which is about 45 min. away from Peterborough. It’s great to meet other Canadians on this site.
I apologize for the duplicate response!…Does anyone know how to delete them????
Hi Joyanne…I am originally from Montreal too…Grand Blvd. in N.D.G. Moved to New Brunswick in May of 1967. Thought my life was over at that time…however…wouldn’t live anywhere else now!…Love it here!!

I know where Buckhorn is. We used to go camping in that area. Off roading in a jeep. Extreme camping quite a few years ago now.
We missed Freedom 55, going for Freedom 85 now! LOL
My how things quickly change on the Prairies. It was above freezing yesterday. You never know what to expect at any time of the year. It’s dipping below the freezing mark today. That’s the reason that I never know what I’ll be wearing. It’s a challenge!
woo hoo … Ridgeway here !!! a few of us in the GTA.
hi rivers. no I don’t know where Lakefield ON is? where is it. what part of ON? I am from North Bay.. it is cold up here… today -14 but with the windshield factor.. it felt like -25… brrrrr.
Hi to all the Canadians out there. This is so cool because I recently joined this site and then quickly thought that it would be great if there was a Canadian alternative. So thanks rainbow for asking the question and getting us Canadians talking to each other. I live in Ontario but am originally from Yarmouth, Nova Scotia.
there was a thread here a few weeks ago, how many Canadians and over 400 responded, lol

I too am from Prince Edward Island now living in Leduc, AB. I just joined this website after seeing it on Facebook. Enjoy the rest of your day!
Hi Joannie and Rainbow1956. I’m from Leduc, and before that lived in PEI all my life until 13 years ago when we moved west. Home is where the heart is. Cold snap is about to end and we will be in a heat wave! Can’t wait!
I’m from Sechelt British Columbia and travelled across Canada this Summer ,so we passed through a lot of your hometowns on our travels. Migrated here about 15 years ago but before that came from the White rock and Surrey and North Delta areas of the Lower mainland.
Oh my god!!.. i thought i was the only one from Canada that saw this site. I actually thought i had to be from the states to join!! As we get older we sure don’t get smarter!..about some things anyways!
I’m a nurse from Peterborough Ontario and now live just outside of Buckhorn…. north of Lakefield Ontario. Does anyone know this area?? ah!.. this is so neat!!…
Hi rainbow pretty hard to stay warm at -42C today it is a balmy -26C. I wish everyday I could be in Arizona with some of my friends that spend the winters there. I spent 8 weeks total last winter in the desert and loved it. Are you one of the unlucky ones getting snow out there?
Are you staying warm there in chilly Sask? I grew up in Swift Current, but moved to Calgary in the last 70’s, and now have been on Vancouver Island for the past 4 yrs.
Hello wyenot…BURRRRRRRRR!! I have heard it is very cold on the prairies. Have a sis in Calgary, a brother in Regina. Big snowstorm predicted for today here on V Island as well. It will mean lots of scary drivers on the road. 🙂 Enjoy your shopping.
Hello Rainbow, I’m from Sherwood Park, Alberta and it’s extremely cold out today. Just wonderful for Christmas shopping!
I think that is a wonderful idea. Don’t feel bad about the lack of response, this site is to big and I’m finding that people get lost in here. I find interesting comments and then I have a hard time finding them again. Don’t give up on your idea.
Bonjour Rakoon! Great Idea! The feeling that we are alltogether, at same time! Malheureusement, je n’ai plus que lundi et mardi soirs pour mes courses, ma visite de Noël arrive mercredi. mais je regarderai les échanges le lendemain matin. Bye!
Your so very welcome, I hope you find the solution you need for your mother. Also, everyone here, have a hsppy Channuka, Christmas, holdiay season….
hi, I am from North Bay, ON… where is your northern property. yes.. for sure kayaking in Northern ON is the best!
I just joined in December 2009 and I am finding this very informative, comforting and fun!! I live in Saskatchewan, Canada
Well, I guess I found out what others think.
Thanks so much. I appreciate your assistance. I will look into your suggestions. It is so hard being so far away from her. Thanks, again.
Wow, can’t believe it! There are quite a few of us from this area. I am in Prince George. Hello to everyone.
Hello fellow Canadians,
I’m in Ottawa/Hull/Gatineau area. I was born in Ottawa. Lived in California for 7 years, and the rest in Gatineau across the Ottawa river. I look forward to learning and sharing with you all.
Hi everyone, well its cold in some parts and snowy in others but the warmth on this site is so warming. There are some who have worries and others for whom life is grand and others who are just going day by day. I am here new in Vancouver from Toronto via Brampton and if there are any other lovely women out there perhaps we can make a VN meetup group here in Vancouver. Friends are likely sparkly gems and we need them around us to bring that sparkly into our lives.
There should be some programs in place through community or perhaps there is a care agency such as Nurse Next Door or Comfort Care or that has people who will go visit and spend an hour a day or telephone everyday just to say. You could probably even arrange it over the phone or internet.
Hi Rainbow. I’m in Red Deer, Alberta. Right now we’re in a deep freeze.
Life Is Good!
No such thing as an intrusion. We’re all in this together. Victoria is the most beautiful place. Great areas to kayak as well. If you need any help with plans don’t hesitate to ask. How did you decide on Victoria as a place to visit?
