4 Tips to Improve Your Travel Experience

I don’t know about you, but I love to travel and that travel bug kicks in even more as the summer months roll around! What I don’t like about traveling though is being out of my routine. My fitness and eating schedule always take a back-seat to whatever new, exciting experience I’m enjoying and then I pay for it when I return home. So how do I find a balance when I’m traveling?

Check out these great tips from Karim Orange’s Huffington Post article on how to make traveling a little easier on your body:


  1. Never leave home without these items: water, vitamins/supplements, and noise canceling headphones.
  2. Combat jet lag by drinking lots of water and trying to get your body acclimated to the destination time zone as soon as possible.
  3. Turn your hotel room into your home away from home. Try bringing one of your favorite scents from home with you.
  4. Incorporate healthy eating habits into your travel plans. For starters, eat your largest meal at breakfast.
