I don’t know about you, but I love to travel and that travel bug kicks in even more as the summer months roll around! What I don’t like about traveling though is being out of my routine. My fitness and eating schedule always take a back-seat to whatever new, exciting experience I’m enjoying and then I pay for it when I return home. So how do I find a balance when I’m traveling?
Check out these great tips from Karim Orange’s Huffington Post article on how to make traveling a little easier on your body:
- Never leave home without these items: water, vitamins/supplements, and noise canceling headphones.
- Combat jet lag by drinking lots of water and trying to get your body acclimated to the destination time zone as soon as possible.
- Turn your hotel room into your home away from home. Try bringing one of your favorite scents from home with you.
- Incorporate healthy eating habits into your travel plans. For starters, eat your largest meal at breakfast.
These are a great start to helping you maintain your routine and balance while traveling. Do you have any other great travel trips to offer?
